The esplanade<\/strong> and archway <\/strong>are part of the Hacienda San Crist\u00f3bal<\/strong>, the name of this working community. Its origin dates back to 1614, when the Viceroy Marquis of Guadalc\u00e1zar<\/strong> granted Pedro N\u00fa\u00f1ez G\u00f3mez<\/strong> a cattle ranch with horses. Documents of a mortgage on the site, dated 1734<\/strong>, make mention for the first time of a population of jacales, what is today the main house of the hacienda and community of San Crist\u00f3bal.<\/p>

During the last stages of the Mexican Revolution<\/strong>, between the months of April and June 1915, the lands of Hacienda San Cristobal and neighboring haciendas<\/strong> served as a battlefield<\/strong> where the Villistas’ armies<\/strong> confronted Obregon’s armies<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

That same year, on September 20, it was acquired by Vicente Fox Quesada’s paternal grandfather<\/em>, Joseph Louis Fox Flach<\/strong>, who worked as a stubborn and stubborn watchman in a car factory that, in the end, he also ended up being the owner. Some of his famed “Fox Cars” are on display here.<\/p>

It was donated by the Fox family to build a venue where large events could be held at the disposal of the public’s predilections, from renting space for family celebrations, to scientific fairs, concerts, sporting events and national and international festivals.<\/p>

Among many of these events are the visit of the 14th Dalai Lama<\/strong> (Tenzin Gyatso), the concerts of Juan Gabriel<\/strong>, Elton John<\/strong>, Carlos Santana<\/strong>, Mexican singers Emmanuel <\/strong>and Mijares<\/strong>, the visits of Deepak Chopra<\/strong> and Nobel Peace Prize winners Muhammad Junus<\/strong> and Rigoberta Mench\u00fa<\/strong>, the CITEK International Forum<\/strong>, CannaM\u00e9xico<\/strong>, Foro Revoluci\u00f3n Amarilla<\/strong>, the scientific fairs of Talent City<\/strong> and Hackaton<\/strong> science fairs, the Mystic Arts of Tibet<\/strong>, the Michoac\u00e1n Folkloric Festival<\/strong> and Folkloric Ballet of Estado de Mexico<\/strong>, constant visits from Texas Christian University<\/strong>, the World Business Forum<\/strong>, countless concerts by the Baj\u00edo System Orchestra<\/strong> and Community Ensembles<\/strong>, and many, many more events.<\/p>
